MORE PICTURES OF KIDS

SPIDERS....EWWWWWW!!

So far since we moved into this rental home, we have encountered 3 black widow spiders. I am not particularly fond of spiders (who is??) and so it has really grosed me out and now I am a little on edge. Living in Utah I never came across any of these spiders. It feels like we are being infested. Here are a couple pictures.

Found by our front door.

Found under our picnic table on the patio.
(Thanks to Quinton for noticing the webs under the seats)

Phx Zoo

Mike and I took the kids to the Phoenix zoo for the 24th. Even though it is was 105+ degrees, we had a great time. There was plenty to see and do which made the day alot of fun. This zoo is quite large so we didn't see everything we wanted to, but we plan on going back again soon. To help with the heat issue, they had two different water play areas for the kids & adults if they wished to get wet. It definitely felt great to cool off and it made it easier to walk around in the sun. Next time we plan on getting there early. They open at 7 am so the earlier the better.

Happy 2nd Birthday Aleena!!

We celebrated Aleena's 2nd birthday today. I cant believe she is already 2, it seems like yesterday we were just bringing her home from the hospital. Time sure does fly by so very quickly. We are so very blessed to have Aleena in our family and we love her so very much. She bring a smile to our faces and is our little bug. We love you!

The Kiddos:)

Update on the Rigby's

Well after leaving the comforts of our home of 41/2 years at the village, we began our slow journey into life without school. We moved in with Mikes parents not knowing how long our stay would be. In June Mike was offered a job interview with ADOT (Arizona Department of Transportation). We made a trip down for his interview and were able to have Katie and Steve join us for the trip. After completing everything we traveled to AZ for, we headed back home hoping and praying that this job would come through. Well not even two weeks later, he recieved a phone call that answered all our prayers, He got the job!! We were all so excited and releaved to finally be able to move on. We left for AZ on the 6th of July and arrived on the 7th. Mike's dad was a sweetheart and offered to drive the moving truck for us while we drove the van. We all made it safely and have finally gotten settled in our home. We acquired a few kinks here and there with this home being vacant for more than 5 months, but the home has really been great. It's so nice to be living in a home with space rather than a cramped apartment. The kids have seemed to make the adjustments rather well, Quinton will start Kindergarden on the 9th of Aug which is coming up rather quickly, but we are excited for him to be able to begin learning more and make some friends.

SMILEY SMILES

Carter has started to smile and laugh. I love seeing his smile, it just makes my day so much better. When you have been yelling all day at the other two children, it's so nice to pick him up and have a "little piece of heaven" to smile and brighten my day. I love my little monkey!

GRADUATION :)

Mike graduated on May 7th with his Masters in Civil Engineering. I am so proud of my wonderful hubby and how hard he has worked over the past 8 years of schooling

NEW BED AND A NEW ARM

With all of the changes that have ben going on in the Rigby household, we decided taht it was time for Aleena to have a big girl bed. So far she has enjoyed it and has adjusted well.

She also had an unfortunate accident that left her with a fractured right elbow. The accident occured on Tuesday April 20th. The weather was warm and the pool was out. Kids were havign a great time and of course Aleena wanted to join in the fun. We have a small slide in our court that the kids can move around and it always ends up in the pool so the kids can slide down it. Aleena had already gone down a couple time but the last one didnt quite work. She slipped off the top of the slide and landed on her back and right arm. A couple days later and a swollen elbow, we discovered that she had fractured it. They put her in a splint and the smallest sling they could find. We felt so bad for this poor sweet girl, but she looked so cute as well. She wore the splint and sling for a few days and then we had a bright purple cast put on which she will have until May 27th.
