THE FIRE STATION!

Quinton's preschool class took a field trip to the fire station a few weeks ago. They were able to see how the firemen live and what they do while on the job. Each fireman has there own room to sleep, a kitchen to prepare there meals, and nice comfy recliners to relax in while waiting for a call. Quinton thought the best part was getting to see the 3 different fire trucks they have at the station. Each having its own name, which I do not remember.

SOCCER = FUN & TROPHIES

In the midst of all the Halloween fun, Quinton also had his last soccer game. Mike and I were unable to attend this game so my mom came down to take him (Thanks Mom!) Mike had an Awards Banquet for a Civil Engineering Scholorship! Way to go Babe! :)

Quinton did really well playing and enjoying his last game and at the end all of the kids recieved there very own trophy. Congratulations on finishing your first soccer season bud!

HALLOWEEN WEEK

The week of Halloween was full of fun this year. It started with an annual East Village Halloween party where the kids were able to decorate cookies, a candy bag and play with friends. Quinton was sick that day so he wasnt feeling totally like himself, but insisted that he must attend. The kids were dressed up as Spiderman & UTAH cheerleader this year. They both looked great!

On Wednesday we went to our wards Halloween Trunk-or-Treat. It was fun but a bit on the chilly side. After the trunk or treating we had a nice dinner and then fun games for the kids. Quinton dressed up as Venom the evil spiderman. In case your wondering, his costume is reversible which I found our after I purchased the costume and luckily it came in rather handy.

On Saturday we went trick or treating in the afternoon with a group of friends and their kids at "Officers Hollow" in Fort Douglas. Each house that you went to had a different theme. The kids were able to go inside most of the houses and participate in coloring or other activities. Quinton didnt really seem to like it much, why we arent sure.

Later on that evening, Mike went with some other guys to the UTAH football game and the kids and I joined the wives for a potluck dinner. After dinner we took the kids trick or treating around the neighborhood. We all had a great time and thankfully the weather was great!

PUMPKIN CARVING

On Saturday Evening we decided that is was time to get some pumkins for carving. After getting home we started that process of cleaning out the pumpkins. Quinton loves to help us clean out the pumpkins. Since that is really the only thing he was able to do, I am glad he was willing to get all yucky. Once they were all cleaned out, Mike and I stared the carving process. We started with Quintons Saturday night and ended with Aleena's Sunday night. The carving took quite a bit of time. Quinton's pumpkin is pac man meaning "game over". Aleena's is a rest in peace sign, Mike's is a evil clown face and mine is a Black Widow. They all turned out looking pretty good and we all had a great time together.
